親愛的會員 Dear Members,
(A) 茲寄上康鶴通訊十月號(見附件), 內含重要信息, 請細讀.GCSC Newsletter (October 2021) is attached.
(1) 中心將於10/4/21開始在新址恢復上課, 日期為每月的星期一, 星期二和第一個星期三. 新地址是635 Old Orchard DR in Danville (Sycamore Homes Association 或 SHA). 在室內需戴口罩, 並有其他防疫措施, 請讀通訊以明詳細.GCSC will resume classes starting on 10/4/21 at the new address: 635 Old Orchard DR in Danville (Sycamore Homes Association or SHA). Please refer to the newsletter for necessary actions against the pandemic.
(2) 某些課程仍將以ZOOM方式上課, 新的課程表在通訊的第二頁. 注意, 星期二10/12因場地不能使用, 需停課一天.Some of the Zoom classes will continue. Please refer to the new class schedule (page 2 of the newsletter) for details.
(B) 10 月 6 日星期三(12PM-3:30PM)中心將在新址舉行慶祝復課大會, 包括簡便免費午餐, 慶生會和餘興節目(請見所附海報), 各班班長會與班上同學聯絡以統計參加人數, 再總報此項活動負責人員.There will be a Grand Reopening celebration on Wednesday 10/6 12PM – 3:30PM. You will be contacted by the class captain regarding your attendance.

(1) 星期一 6/14/21 7PM 的閱讀會&星期二 6/1/21 7PM 的時事座談都要停課, 因為老師休假.
(2) 攝影班新的上課時間; 星期二 6/1/21 9:15AM-12PM & 星期二 6/15/21 7:15PM-9PM.
Please note the following changes in the attached June ’21 Class Schedule:
(1) There will be no class for Monday 6/14/21 7pm Book Club & Tuesday 6/1/21 7pm News Talk because the teacher will be on vacation.
(2) New time for Camera Class: Tuesday 6/1/21 9:15am-12pm & Tuesday 6/15/21 7:15pm-9pm.

From the Co-Directors 主任的話:
Dear members,
It’s been 6 months since our last activity which was the double birthday celebration on March 4, 2020. Since then a lot has changed, based on the health order from the Contra Costa County and for the safety of our members, we are forced to close the center and ceased all physical activities and classes.
Even though the center is temporarily closed, we have not stopped working, we have provided some of the classes via Zoom. We will have a monthly newsletter which can be found on our website, we will provide communication and information to our members either through email or on our website, we also welcome members to submit articles for our website, maybe even recipes! We will review all articles tomake sure they are appropriate for our website.
Even though we cannot have physical birthday party, we still want to recognize all the birthday members, we will like to recognize all the following September birthdays!

GCSC New Director July 2019
Dear GCSC members:
On July 25th, 2019, our Center Director, Ms.Gina Sun, resigned due to her personal matters. Gina is a devoted Director, she tirelessly managing the Center with enthusiasm and discipline. She has earned all the respects and appreciations. The board of directors would like her to continue her term until the end of this year but understood her situation, so regrettably accepted her resignation.
During Gina ‘s absence, the Center Vice Directors, Ms. Julianna Wang and Ms. Anita Wong, have faithfully exercised their duties and keep the Center function smoothly and effectively. For the remaining term of this year, the Board of Directors accepted the recommendation from Gina and appointing Ms Julianna Wang as the Director and Anita Wong as the Vice Director of GCSC. The appointments take effect immediately. Please welcome Julianna and Anita for their new position and give her your fully supports. For next year Center directorship, the Board will follow the GCSC BYLAWS and Organizational Guideline and open to public for nominations and volunteerism. 敬愛的中心會員： 七月廿五日, 中心主任Ms. Gina Sun 因個人因素無法兼顧中心事務提出辭呈。中心董事會盡力挽留並感謝Gina對中心的犧牲及貢獻。但也同時體諒她個人的困難而勉為其難接受了她的辭職。
在Gina 請假期間兩位中心副主任Ms. Julianna Wang 及Ms. Anita Wong 盡忠職守處理中心事務有條不紊有目共賭。董事會決定接受Gina 的推荐敦請Ms. Julianna Wang 和Ms Anita Wong接任中心主任及副主仼, 完成到今年底的任期。新任職務即時生效。 敬請會員們歡迎我們的新中心主任及副主任並且熱烈的給予支持。致於明年中心主任的甄選將依照中心章程公開接受提名及自我推薦，敬請熱心參與。 祝大家有個平安健康快樂的暑假。 Grace Chiu Chairman, GCSC Board of Directors
